Mission & Vision
Recent Developments in Hip and Knee Arthroplasty
Hip and knee arthroplasty has become more common over the years. And the number of people needing such a procedure will only increase in the future due to several factors, including advances in the technology, an increase in obesity rates over the past decade, an aging population worldwide and an increase in procedures among younger patients. All the while, developments in the field of orthopaedic surgery for hip or knee replacement are evolving rapidly.
The objective of the Transatlantic Current Concepts in Hip and Knee Arthroplasty Congress in collaboration with the Dutch Hip Society and Dutch Knee Society is to equip orthopaedic surgeons and collaborating providers, institutions, manufacturers, payers and patients with the knowledge they need to ensure best practices in hip and knee arthroplasty now and in the future. The ultimate goal is to ensure safety and quality for patients.
