Contributions from the conference participants are considered essential parts of this conference. Each participant is encouraged to submit his/her written clinical or experimental work related to early intervention on knee arthritis, that will be presented as a poster. The Scientific Committee of the IMUKA 2009 is pleased to invite abstracts for poster presentations on any of the topics listed below.
During the IMUKA 2009; the organizing committee will recognize the research efforts of physicians, clinical scientists and educators.
There will be an IMUKA 2009 award for the best poster presented at this conference.
Abstracts should be submitted within one of the following topics
- Conservative treatment
- Arthroscopy and Biologics
- Osteotomy and Arthroplasty

Sample Abstract (Word document)
- All abstracts should be submitted online.
- Abstracts should be submitted by the presenting author
- Abstracts should be submitted in English
- Abstracts must not exceed 300 words (excluding abstract title, author names and affiliations)
- Photo’s, mono figures and other images and references should not be used
- Abstract text should be divided into the following sections:
- introduction
- purpose
- material and methods
- results
- conclusion
Notification
Abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee and notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent by e-mail to the corresponding author before 20 December 2008. If you have not received notification by 20 December 2008, please contact the Conference Management at info@imuka.eu.
Presenting authors are required to register for the conference.
The final decision as to whether an accepted abstract will be presented orally of by poster, lies with Congress Scientific Committee.
The Organizing Committee regrets to be unable to provide financial support or travel expenses to the authors of Posters.
Poster presentations and measurements
Posters will be presented during the 3 days of the Conference; no oral presentation is made for Posters but authors will be expected to attend their poster for a short, assigned time period during the Conference, to facilitate discussion with other delegates. A large display area will be dedicated to poster presentations. Please be sure to comply with the poster dimensions, which are 97 centimeters wide by 147 centimeters high.
