Contributions from the conference participants are considered essential parts of this conference. Each participant is encouraged to submit his/her written clinical or experimental work related to Hip Pathology, that will be presented as a poster. The Scientific Committee of the IMUKA 2010 is pleased to invite abstracts for poster presentations on any of the topics listed below. During the IMUKA 2010; the organizing committee will recognize the research efforts of physicians, clinical scientists and educators. There will be an IMUKA 2010 award for the best poster presented at this conference. Abstracts should be submitted within one of the following topics: - Diagnostics - Etiology of HIP Disease - Impingement of the HIP - Arthroscopy of the HIP - Open Treatment of Developmental Dysplasia of the HIP - MIS approach to the HIP - Total HIP Arthroplasty - Complications Total HIP Arthroplasty - Osteonecrosis of the HIP See page Conference Topics Online submission procedure: 1. All abstracts should be submitted online. 2. Abstracts should be submitted by the presenting author 3. Abstracts should be submitted in English 4. Abstract text should not exceed 300 words (excluding abstract title, author names/affiliations, 1,5-line spacing) 5. Photo’s, mono figures and other images and references should not be used 6. Abstract text should be divided into the following sections (Verdana 10 font bold, left aligned): - Introduction - Purpose - Materials and methods - Results - Conclusion Notification Abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee and notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent by e-mail to the corresponding author before 18 December 2009. Presenting authors are required to register for the conference. The final decision as to whether an accepted abstract will be presented orally or by poster, lies with the Scientific Committee. The Organizing Committee regrets to be unable to provide financial support or travel expenses to the authors of Posters. Poster presentations and measurements Posters will be presented during the 3 days of the Conference; no oral presentation is made for Posters but authors will be expected to attend their poster for a short, time period during the Conference, to facilitate discussion with other delegates. Please be sure to comply with the poster dimensions, which are maximum 1.50 centimetres wide and 1.60 centimetres high. The layout of your poster must be portrait, not landscape.
